Gabe Nye the Science Guy's top Ten (or however many, fuck you, I couldn't narrow it down that much) Comedy Whatever List:

14: Sam and Max Hit the Road (Video Game) Not only the finest point and click adventure game to come out of LucasArts, but a fucking hilarious story as well. (yes, the Monkey Island games are almost as hilarious.)

13: Caddyshack (film) Damn near comedy perfection, cast, director, and music are all on point.

12: Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels (books, a couple of rad PS1 games) Brilliant parody of fantasy tropes. British humour at its best.

11: Anchorman: the Legend of Ron Burgundy (film) Really, do I need to explain this one?

10: Todd and the Book of Pure Evil (TV) Just pure awesome from start to finish. Think Buffy meets Troma with a hefty serving of straight up motherfucking metal.

9: The Muppet Show (TV) This entry doesn't need explaining, it's the goddamn Muppets for christ's sake. If you aren't a fan already then you can eat my ass you piece of garbage.

8: Monty Python (TV, Movies, records, books, you name it) I hate to sound like a broken record, but if you don't know why Monty Python is on this list you're a fool. Still, watch Holy Grail to get your feet wet if you're unaware.

7: Tenacious D (mostly music, sweet TV show, pretty ok movie) It's the fucking D. Great music mixed with a fantastic sense of humor.

6: Red Dwarf (TV) This is my second favorite show of all time, and the one that made me fall in love with British humor. Jesus, it's so fucking funny.

5: MST3K/Rifftrax/Cinematic Titanic/The Film Crew (TV, VOD, DVD) I still remember the day Tromeric introduced me to Mystery Science Theater 3000. It was like I'd finally become whole. So, yeah. Mitchell (wakka chikka wakka chikka...)

4: Mel Brooks (mostly movies, a little tv) I really can't narrow this one down more, everything he does is genius, but Spaceballs will always be my favorite.

3: Weird Al Yankovic (Music, the best movie ever made) He's the greatest, no question. His music has already stood the test of time, and UHF is easily the funniest movie in history.

2: The Simpsons (TV, obviously, and a pretty great movie.) Again, it's the fucking Simpsons. You have to know about this.

1: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Radio play, Books, TV miniseries, Comics, Movie, Video Game... Etc.) This is just absolutely the cornerstone of my personal sense of humor. Read the books first if you're new to it, but all of it is great.

Gabe Nye is a tight scientist, and an old friend of the grog. He lives among thousands of action figures and plays more video games than Grandma's Boy. He likes Marshmallows way too much, and can watch cartoons anytime, anywhere.
